The Grounded Girl Interview Series Welcomes Mariel Rosefield (myself) Founder of Groundedco

We are so excited to kick off our Grounded Girl Series for Groundedco. We are looking forward to sharing with you these amazing women in our community that are empowering and inspiring others.

I introduce to you myself, Mariel Rosefield founder of Groundedco, a woman’s lifestyle apparel brand that is here to inspire a love and good vibe feel with what started with a t-shirt and became a movement. Our goal is to inspire gratitude, grounding, positivity, kindness and connection, and doing the things that you love the most indoors, or outdoors all while connecting with yourself and staying grounded! -We Exist to do Better. #StayGrounded

 

 

Hi! I’m Mariel!

Groundedco: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your business?

Mariel: There is so much to say, so let’s begin! I was born in Long Island, New York. Miami Girl at heart! My family background is Dominican and Colombian. I was raised by my amazing Grandparents who taught me so much growing up, and a lot of who I am today. I am a mom to my wonderful twins, a wife to the best partner, & the founder of Groundedco a lifestyle apparel brand for women. I founded Groundedco during the pandemic in 2021 to bring awareness of what is to be very apparent and in desperate need which was connection with ourselves. This all became because it was something I too craved in my life, therefor the process was an organic one. We want to create more than just beautifully inspired apparel, but also create a movement within our community that inspires connection and freedom.

 

Groundedco: How do you keep balanced in the everyday life with all the hustle and bustle?

Mariel:  I am much more aware these days of when I need to take a pause and ground with myself. One of my everyday rituals is a 10-minute meditation and journaling in the morning when my world is the quietest.  The other big thing that keeps me grounded and balanced is breathe work. If ever there is that feeling of overwhelm, or stress I take a good 3-5 breathes and remember that everything even when it doesn’t seem so will always work out. Of course, everyone knows I love to Sage!

Groundedco: Who has been your greatest inspiration and why?

Mariel: In my past life I would have said myself. I am very proud of my accomplishments and more so the person I am becoming and the self-love that has allowed me to grow in ways that I never thought possible. Fast forward to today it is my family in general.
(Too many to name ????) They have each taught me so much. What it truly means to be unconditionally loved, support from one another in the good and bad times, respect, confidence, and their mindfulness as human beings.

 

 

Groundedco: What is your favorite way to stay active?

Mariel: I love to work out in the outdoors, anything in the ocean, yoga, & outdoor adventures when we take off in our RV.

Groundedco: How did you start Groundedco? What is next?

Mariel: I worked in Real Estate & Property Management. I was barely ever present in my journey, and I knew that I craved for more connection, creativity and community. I wanted to create an apparel brand that inspired other women like me to start their journey with themselves first and then connection with our community.  As we build community locally our goal is to continue building Groundedco both internationally and globally.

 

Groundedco: What is one or some of the biggest challenges you have had and how have you overcome them?

Mariel: The biggest challenge I have had was launching Groundedco with a certain vision that had to pivot due to the pandemic. I know now that it was also there to teach me a lesson which was to surrender and let go. Not everything in life, we can control. I overcame this by not creating excuses as to why I could not launch my business but a pivot plan as to how I was now going to launch my business! Everything is perspective!

 

Groundedco: If you could pick any place in the world to be and ground, where would it be?

Mariel: This is so hard! There are so many beautiful and amazing places that I have been to and have yet to explore. If I had to pick one place in the world it would be anywhere on an island with complete tropical and sunshine vibes. The Ocean world is my main connection.

 

Groundedco: As an entrepreneur who launched their business from zero and during a pandemic what advice can you give women to be more comfortable in taking this step without feeling any doubt, fear, or resistance?

Mariel: My response to that is to not overthink things, of course every business decision has risk along with many things that we decide in our everyday life. If it is something you truly believe in and cannot find yourself to stop thinking about it JUST DO IT! Every step that you make towards that goal, that vision, that dream regardless of the size is a step closer to your business. It is in the unknown where the magic is. #staygrounded
